Turn your science
Digital Garage started Open Network Lab (Onlab) in 2010 and has supported over 100 startups in Japan and overseas. In 2018, we launched life science-focused program, Onlab BioHealth, with leading companies, investors and experts in this field.
Onlab BioHealth supports entering Japanese market for startups abroad and helps deliver innovative technologies to the right market.
Since the 1990s, living things have been interpreted not only as “atom (material)” but also as “bit (information)”. The progress of biotechnology including a DNA sequencer made it possible to breakdown life phenomena into bits in every field such as medicine, health, agriculture, food and environment. Now we gained tools to make new creations by combining bits. At this very moment, bio-hackers all over the world are manipulating bits and making another creation.
Onlab BioHealth’s goal is to create new values for our future.
For that goal, Onlab BioHealth supports those who are eager to deliver their great technologies in biotech/healthcare fields to the right market not for an academic research but for a business. To that end, this program simply focuses on user/client research, identifying what is inevitable for them and executing the business. We believe that good technology is not enough to succeed as a business. Businesses with life science technology also need to establish competitive advantages and unique values.
Onlab BioHealth looks forward to work toghether with pioneers.
